Let's take a look at my journey to becoming a professional Virtual Assistant. In this article, you will know How did I become a Virtual Assistant, What does a Virtual Assitant do, and Why I chose to become a Virtual Assistant.
Like what others do I enroll in an academy which offers a wide range of freelancing courses. The Filipino Virtual Assistance Academy, FVA offers online job courses to aspiring freelancers. What I like the most about this academy is that coaches are knowledgeable enough about their courses, they are welcoming questions from fresher, and the teaching has a personal touch because their mission is to empower families, one freelancer at a time. FVA also has informative articles, posts, and videos, which can help you to be a successful freelancer or virtual assistant. Of course, in order to obtain something, I also do research a lot and do self-study.
A virtual assistant provides various services to entrepreneurs or businesses from a remote location. From digital marketing tasks, scheduling appointments, and managing events to personal errands. You can make a virtual assistant do almost anything.
There are a host of things that virtual assistants can do, including:
General Virtual Assistance – mostly includes administrative tasks such as answering calls, scheduling meetings, making travel arrangements, etc.
Social Media Marketing – manage social media campaigns and day-day activities such as posting relevant contents, manage ads
Content Marketing – develop a campaign that drives traffic, improves customer engagement, leads an,d sales
Email Marketing – manage the company’s email campaigns and communicate the company's brand through emails.
SEO – to make the website show up at the top of the search engine
Real Estate Investment Virtual Assistance – Research properties, analyze aspects like demographics and taxes, identify properties, and negotiates real estate transactions.
Simple Web Design– responsible for the design, and layout of a website.
To be a virtual assistant it is very worth being. Nowadays, having a virtual assistant is not luxury or "chic", but a great necessity. The learning and skills, it expands my knowledge about things around me. I believe that my skills and expertise are just rotating within every corner of the freelancing room. I never imagined being a general virtual assistant. But being a Virtual Assistant helps me to think outside the box, to do things I never imagined I can be. And I believe Virtual Assistants will be in demand for the next decades. So, for me, choosing to become a Virtual Assistant is an investment, for skills, for new learnings, and knowledge on how to help the Business community.
